Where are the Fellows from?
The African Leadership Institute has sought to attract young leaders from across Africa to ensure the network of Fellows is better able to provide support for each other.  While not every country is represented yet, the impact and geographic spread is clear.

AICML is  creating waves of positive change. Be it within government, by impacting policy, either as senior government officials, or indirectly as advisors to government ministries. These young African leaders return to their countries and positions confident and fully equipped for the responsibilities of leadership in both the African and global arenas. They emerge from AICML programmes with:

•    A self-formed view of leadership principles and values.
•    A better understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses.
•    A finely tuned moral compass.
•    The importance of having a mentor.
•    A commitment to leading change and development on the continent.
•    A deep understanding of the complexities and demands in being a leader.
•    A fuller appreciation of the regional and global forces that will influence the decisions and behaviours of future leaders in Africa (through Scenario Planning exercises).
•    Practical experience and feedback from working as part of a team of high-calibre individuals

Through AICML  programmes, individuals are encouraged to take up the challenge of leadership, reflect on their leadership styles, strengths and weaknesses, broaden their perspectives, engage in community projects and work collaboratively with their peers across regions. Through the support of AICML, its sponsors and its supporters, these dynamic emerging leaders are achieving greater impact and improving the lives of millions of fellow Africans, directly and indirectly.

In addition, many people have provided their time and their services pro bono. These include, the Management, Trustees, Directors and Alumni, as well as some wonderful individuals who care deeply for what the Institute is trying to achieve for Africa. The Institute is extremely grateful for their selfless support.
